Applying for a Nursery place
The Nursery Education in Kingston upon Thames booklet provides you with full information about the different types of nursery education available as well as when and how to apply for a nursery place. The new booklet for 2018 admissisions will be available from December 2017. Click below on the link to the RBK Nursery 2018 booklet.

Starting Nursery in September 2018
Children born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015.
To apply for a nursery place, contact the school directly for an application form.
The closing date for the Nursery applications is Friday 11th March 2018.
Results of Nursery Applications will be sent out by early May 2018 exact date to be confirmed.
Applications for Alexandra School Nursery are dealt according to the rules stipulated in the RBK Nursery 2018.

- Please report to the main school entrance on arrival.
- Please be aware that buggies and prams are not allowed in the school due to fire regulations (they can be left outside the building)
- Pay meter parking is very limited around the school.
- If you book a place and are unable to attend please let the school office know.

All applications for a school place must be made via your home council. If you are a Kingston Borough resident you will need to apply through Kingston Council.

IMPORTANT REMINDER - APPLYING FOR ADMISSION TO YEAR 3 IN SEPTEMBER 2018
In September all Year 2 parents will be sent a letter with information about applying for a
Year 3 2018 place, and the booklet: Admission to Kingston’s Primary Schools 2018.
Please remember to apply - The deadline is the 15th January 2018.
It is important very that you read the Admission to Kingston’s Primary Schools 2018 booklet before you complete the online application form, paying particular attention to pages 26-30.
If you are unable to access the website, you can complete a paper application form which is available from Kingston Schools Admissions (tel. 020 8547 4610).
Please note, you must submit an application as children attending our current Year 2 do not automatically transfer to our Year 3 classes.

If you are a Kingston Borough resident applying for a place in a year group other than Reception in September 2017, you should complete a Kingston In-Year Application Form to apply for any school.

If you are a resident in another Council area, you should complete your Home Council's In-Year Application Form. You will be able to name a Kingston Borough school as one of your preferences and your Home Council will pass your child's details on.
