The main aim of the PSA (Parent Staff Association), is to raise funds for the school in order to buy extra equipment and outings for the children. It is also a great way for parents, carers and staff to meet socially and get to know each other, whilst having lots of fun along the way!
As soon as your child starts in our school, you automatically become a member of the PSA. Everyone is welcome to our monthly meetings (held in school) and we are always looking for new fundraising ideas.
Past events have included sponsored bounces, Christmas and summer fairs, Christmas shopping evenings, class trips to Ladyland Farm, Hampton Court, Pizza Express and The Polka Theatre. In addition, the PSA has funded playground equipment, sports equipment, coffee mornings, butterflies and chicks hatching in the classrooms, cameras in bird boxes, visits to school by authors, artists and musicians and much, much more.
Each year, we have a pantomime and we are always looking for aspiring actors and actresses to join the panto crew.
The money is raised throughout the whole year from a vast array of activities that you can enjoy. We are always grateful for your participation in organising and running these events (or just your support by spending your money at them!)
A PSA committee is elected each academic year and this includes a number of available posts including chair, secretary, treasurer and, of course, the invaluable class reps.
The PSA meets once a month in the school staff room and you are all welcome – it is very informal, so please feel free to drop in and meet everyone.
The success of the PSA depends on your enthusiasm and commitment, so please come along and contribute your time and skills.
