Alexandra Primary School

Alexandra PSA

The Alexandra Primary School Parents and Staff Association (PSA) aims to support the school by enhancing the school community for parents, carers and children and raising funds to support the school’s activities.

Contact us: psa@alexandra.school

If you have a child in Alexandra Primary School you are automatically a member of the Alexandra PSA and you are welcome to come along to any of our meetings, which take place in the school and will be publicised through class reps and @ALEX newsletter.

It’s not all about the money, it’s also about having fun and creating a sense of school community, so most of our activities are planned with this in mind. The children love doing their sponsored bounce, movie nights and fairs, whilst the parents and teachers have fun competing at our quiz and comedy nights.

Taking part in the events and getting involved in the PSA is also a great way to meet other Alexandra parents and carers. We would love as many people as possible to get involved and depend on parents and carers to make sure we can run great events and raise as much money as possible to help the school offer our children such a great experience.

There are lots of different ways you can get involved and you can offer as much or as little time as you have, for example for planning or running events, helping drum up support or sponsorship and also as a PSA class representative (or two/three) for each class. Most of it can be via Whatsapp, so you don’t need to be there at drop off/pick up every day to get involved.

Please let us know if you want to get involved or want more information.

Matched Funding

If you work for a firm that operates a Matched Funding scheme, the PSA is a registered charity and usually eligible as a recipient of Matched Funding money. If you would like to donate via a Matched Giving scheme please contact us and we can provide the letter that you will need. Many larger firms give up to £500 per year, per employee, to an organisation of their choice. For example, if we raised £2000 for the Christmas Fair, you can then ask your company to ‘match’ this (usually up to £500). It’s a simple form to fill in and the money makes all the difference.
