                    Week beginning:

                              Monday 14th July 2025

Maths

The children have moved onto learning about positional language, for example quarter turn or half turn.  They will also learn about clockwise and anticlock wise.

English

In English, the children will publish their report about Mary Seacole and Florence and they will begin to write a letter to their new teacher so that their new teacher can get to know them.

Foundation subjects

  • On Tuesday, the children will be doing a board games day learning about turn taking and sharing etc.
  • On Monday, the children will make and design their own outdoor gate using positional language.
  • In PSHE, the children will be preparing for change and how to cope with change in a positive way.
  • In PE, the last tennis lesson will take place on Monday!
  • In History, the children will learn about Edith Cavell who was a pioneering nurse at the time of Florence and Mary.

Homework

As always, homework will go out on Friday and is due back on Wednesday.  Those children not completing homework will be given time at lunch time to complete.

Please keep practising maths on Numbots and Times Table Rockstars too! We are regularly checking the children’s progress in their recall of times tables (2x, 5x and 10x) and number bonds (to 10, to 20, to 100)
