Weekly update: 23.02.24
🔊 We start the term with a bang as we begin our science topic on sound! We are also looking forward to finding out about the Vikings and how they conquered and settled here. We will be visiting the Tudor Drive Library on Tuesday 5th March. Please check out Parent Mail for timings and let you class teacher know if you are able to help out. Thank you.
The Year 4 Team
Here is our week ahead:
We have started to look at the features of a biography in English this week and will move on to look at further good examples of biography writing. We will also have a focus all week on oracy skills and what good speaking and listening look like.
We will continue to work on measurement next week by looking at measuring and finding the perimeter of rectangles and rectilinear shapes. Please continue to practise times tables with a focus on improving the speed of recall, especially on TT Rock stars.
💡In science we are looking at how sound travels and the workings of the human ear. In history we are looking at primary sources of evidence to fins out about who the Vikings were.
Please support the children with their weekly spelling homework by encouraging them to learn and practise their words each week.
Please see google classroom for homework and weekly spellings.
