Come along to our Christmas Fair tomorrow 12 -3pm
The Christmas performance practices are going very well, and I find myself singing the songs absentmindedly when I’m not meant to, and I suspect the children are finding the same thing! It’s a very tuneful time of year, I’m glad to say.
In Year 2, the children have been researching and creating presentations all about arctic and antarctic creatures. They have done a really good job, and a couple of them will be sharing their work in assembly this afternoon. Year 1 are still enjoying their space project – they certainly know a lot more about planets than I do. In reception snow and ice are the theme, with igloos in the role play areas, and lots of investigative science opportunities. All the Nursery children are hoping for some real snow, but in the meantime I know their teachers are planning to make some pretend snow ready for next week.
It was very nice to see so many Alexandra parents at the meeting held last Wednesday to discuss the proposed expansion projects. It’s always nice to see familiar faces smiling back at you when you have to speak to an audience, so thanks for turning up. I’m looking forward to the results of the feasibility study, and I’ll keep you updated.
After the children have gone home this afternoon the PSA will be busy getting everything ready for our Christmas Fair tomorrow – always a lovely day. The cabin is going to be transformed in to a Santa’s grotto for the first time, and I am looking forward to seeing how that turns out.
See you tomorrow!
