PE
Our PE teaching and learning is based on the National curriculum and aims to encourage a lifetime love of sport and keeping fit through engaging and exciting PE lessons. It is our vision for every pupil to succeed and achieve their potential as well as to lead physically active lifestyles.
Our teaching and learning sequences are planned and delivered so that all children are able to participate actively in PE and at a level that is appropriate to their ability. PE is taught in a progressive and developmental way, building on prior knowledge and skills in order to provide a positive learning experience through a wide range of sporting experiences.
We want our pupils to be creative in their skills, to encourage each other and to aspire to achieve better and better results. Every child should feel that PE is a chance for them to shine in a non-academic subject, but with no lesser value placed upon their success. Everyone is encouraged to participate to develop their skills and also to understand the importance of an active healthy lifestyle and the value of working as part of a team.
Our teaching and learning is based on our values of excellence, nurture, community and exploration.
Kingston to Kingston Challenge
From now until school reopens, we will be embarking on a challenge to get the whole school from Kingston upon Thames to Kingston, Jamaica. To help do this you can either: walk, jog, scoot or cycle. As you do your miles, you can add them onto the challenge sheet. Remember that completing 10 miles or more will enter your name into a draw to win a new scooter. If you are able to, please feel free to get your miles sponsored to help raise money for amazing sporting equipment throughout the school.
