This week in teaching time
We have continued to read ‘Hooray For Fish’ by Lucy Cousins and the children have made fish pictures with different collage materials as well as other sea creatures. We have been learning about different underwater animals and we loved watching Humpback Whales swimming in the Southern Ocean on our big screen. Do check out these amazing animals on BBC Blue Planet.
We will continue to find out about ocean creatures and we will make our own information books.
We will use different media to make 3d fish and add them to our wonderful underwater themed story corner.
We will continue to sing number rhymes and explore pattern making.
Other nursery learning as part of our continuous provision :
We have enjoyed …. cooking in the mud kitchen, building with bricks and construction toys, creating wonderful drawings and paintings and exploring texture by making collage pictures with wool and fabric. We have explored mark making using a variety of materials including seed heads.
Do please make sure all your children’s clothing, lunch boxes and water bottles are named.
If anyone has any spare jogging bottoms that we could add to our spare clothes collection that would be great.
Do return your Tapestry forms as we will be launching this after half term.
We would love to join in family celebrations of special days. If you celebrate specific festivals, do let us know so we can talk about these with all our children and continue to celebrate all the cultures represented in our school.
