Applying for a Nursery place
The Nursery Education in Kingston upon Thames booklet provides you with full information about the different types of nursery education available as well as when and how to apply for a nursery place. These nurseries have one intake per year in September and your child must be three years old by 31 August to be considered.
Starting Nursery in September 2019
Children born between 1 September 2015 and 31 August 2016.
To apply for a nursery place, contact the school directly for an application form.
The closing date for the Nursery applications is early March 2019.
Results of Nursery Applications will be sent out by early May 2019 exact date to be confirmed.
Applications for Alexandra School Nursery are dealt according to the rules stipulated in the RBK Nursery 2019.
Local Authority Nursery applications for admission to Nursery in September 2019 close on Friday early march.This applies to children whose dates of birth are between 01/09/2015 and 31/08/2016.
To apply for a Nursery place at Alexandra School you must submit a paper application to the Alexandra school office by 9/3/19. The application forms are available from the school office.
Alexandra School will be offering 78 Universal Entitlement places (15 hours per week). These will be Monday – Friday, 39 AM places 8:45-11:45 or 39 PM places 12:30 – 15:30).
There is a space on our application form to indicate your preferred session; although this is for our information and cannot be guaranteed. All Local Authority Nurseries will send out offer letters by Friday 4th May.
PLEASE REMEMBER: Mention any siblings who will be attending either Alexandra School or St Pauls Kingston Hill C of E Junior School in September 2018.

Dates for Open day visits for Children joining Reception 2019 have not been set yet. Dates will be advertised here - once they are available please follow the guidelines below.
- Please contact the school office (020 8546 7176) to book a place, as places are limited
- Please report to the main school entrance on arrival.
- Please be aware that buggies and prams are not allowed in the school due to fire regulations (they can be left outside the building)
- Pay meter parking is very limited around the school.
- If you book a place and are unable to attend please let the school office know.

Mid October dates will be released for Nursery/ Reception Group Tours for children starting September 2019. Dates will be advertised via the school web site.

All applications for a school place must be made via your home council. If you are a Kingston Borough resident you will need to apply through Kingston Council.

The closing date for applications is 15 January 2018. You can apply online through the Pan London eAdmissions website using the link
Please remember to apply - The deadline is the 15th January 2019.
It is important very that you read the Admission to Kingston’s Primary Schools 2019 booklet before you complete the online application form, paying particular attention to pages 26-30.

If you are a Kingston Borough resident applying for a place in a year group other than Reception in September 2019, you should complete a Kingston In-Year Application Form to apply for any school.

If you are a resident in another Council area, you should complete your Home Council's In-Year Application Form. You will be able to name a Kingston Borough school as one of your preferences and your Home Council will pass your child's details on.
