Establishing lifelong learning: rooted in knowledge, enriched by experience
Welcome to Alexandra Infants School
Here at Alexandra we are experts in teaching children from 3 to 7. Our school is full of lively, spontaneous, creative little people and we want to give them all a really smiling start to a life time of education.
We believe that these early years in school are the most important in your children’s development; and we want to make them as happy, relevant and meaningful as we can. We aim to provide your children with a secure foundation in the skills, knowledge and understanding they will need as they grow up. We are also very aware that your children will encounter experiences, technologies and challenges that we can only dream of! We want your children to be able to go out into the world full of confidence in themselves as learners, and full of the desire to learn all the new things that will be available to them.
Our teachers and teaching assistants ensure that the classrooms are full of active, creative and positive learning experiences. They form excellent relationships with your children, and get to know them very well so that they can meet their learning needs and support their emotional well-being. Your children make very good progress and we are all proud of them.
Our office staff are knowledgeable, friendly, patient and helpful – they will make you very welcome if you come to visit or phone up. They also have a fantastic sense of humour, and help to keep our school a lovely place for adults and children to work each day.
A large part of our job is to support you as parents and carers – by the time your children come to school you have already taught them such a lot. If we can work together as partners, your children will continue to thrive, and so we offer many opportunities for parents and carers to become involved in their children’s learning. Our onsite Children’s Centre (Kingston Hill Children’s Centre) is a great place to very young children at the very start of their learning journey to spend time with their parents/carers.
If you would like to find out more, please call the school office to arrange a visit.
I look forward to meeting you,
