School Menu
Dear Parents,
Our current food providers are ISS
Pupils in Reception, Y1 & Y2 will continue to receive meals you have ordered from the website free of charge. ISS will charge parents for every Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 meal ordered, unless you fulfil the Free School Meal criteria, as the Government does not fund meals for children in Year 3 or above. Information about Free School Meals can be found on the Kingston.gov website.
Please order for the whole term to reduce the risk of missing the deadline.
NEW RECEPTION CHILDREN
Meals will not be automatically provided for your child. Please make sure you order online.
Dear Parents/Carers,
We are looking forward to welcoming our new Reception children.
We would like to remind you that your Reception child is entitled to Universal Free School Meals which are free of charge but you MUST have registered and opened your account (takes around a week) and also pre-ordered meals online with ISS/Cypad at least one day in advance. For example, meals for Monday 9th September must be ordered online before midnight on Friday 30th August.
ISS/Cypad (a private company that provides school meals and is not part of the school) can only cook meals that have been ordered by parents/carers.
The school office cannot order or provide meals for your children.

If you do not require school meals, please can your children bring their named Packed lunches when they arrive at school in the morning. Our school has a nut-free policy. Packed Lunches must NOT contain any nuts or nut products (for example: peanut butter, nutella), sweets, chocolate, fizzy drinks, cans, or glass bottles.
Packed Lunches should be healthy - NHS have information and ideas on healthy Packed Lunches for school children at:
http://www.nhs.uk/Livewell/childhealth6-15/Pages/Lighterlunchboxes.aspx
Please ensure that you either order a hot meal from ISS every day if required or provide your child with a packed lunch. If neither is provided you will receive a text reminder from the school office and you will be expected to provide a named packed lunch by 11am. ISS cannot provide hot meals unless they are ordered.
Thank you for co-operation.
Kind regards,
Alexandra School Office
YEAR 3, 4, 5 & 6 CHILDREN
All meals must be paid for in advance unless you fulfil the Free School Meal criteria, as the Government does not fund meals for children in Year 3 and above.
Information about Free School Meals can be found on the Kingston.gov website.
If you have not registered you will need to provide your child with a packed lunch.
PACKED LUNCHES
Children who stay all day can either bring in a healthy packed lunch to school with them in the morning or order hot school meals a week in advance. Please send in an extra bottle of water (not in a glass bottle or can for safety reasons). The children are encouraged to eat as much as they can – but never forced!
Please ensure there are no chocolate, sweets, nuts or nut products, fizzy drinks and fast food takeaways in your children’s lunchboxes – we have a few children with severe Nut allergies and also encourage a healthy attitude to food and hope you will support us in this scheme.
Every child at Alexandra school in RECEPTION, Year 1 & 2 is entitled to a Free School Lunch, but you do need to register with ISS to be able to receive this.
