Windows on the World - Wow Week

W WEEK
(Windows on the World week)
At Alexandra school we are very lucky to have families of so many different ethnicities, cultures and faiths. We are proud to be a place where all our differences can be shared and celebrated. With this in mind we hold an annual WOW Week.
We believe that it is very important that our children have the space to learn about the many faiths, cultures and languages that are part of our school.
This is one of our favourite times and we would love you to join in and your child would love it too.
There are many ways for parents and carers to be involved.
How can you help? Who with?
- You might like to: * just one or two children
- Read a story * with small groups
- Sing a song * with a whole class
- Share a dance * in assembly
- Cook some food (no nuts)
- Show some ‘photos, paintings or things that are important to you.
This could be from your home and your own background or from your travels.
School adults and children will be invited to dress up.
We would love it if you could help to make the week a success. It really is a case of ‘the more, the merrier’. We will be asking for your help in advance of WOW week. Look out for notices in @Alex, on our website and on the classroom notice boards.
