Together we nurture the genius in everyone
8th - 12th February 2016
At Alexandra Infant school we are very lucky to have families of so many different ethnicities, cultures and faiths. We are proud to be a place where all our differences can be shared and celebrated. With this in mind we hold an annual World Week.
It provides a great opportunity for our children to learn about the many faiths, cultures and languages that are part of our school.
We ask our families to help us to find out about:
- Food from around the world
- World music and dance
- Stories and poems from around the world.
- Dress from different faiths, countries and cultures from around the world.
School adults and children will be invited to dress up.
There are many ways for parents and carers to be involved; for instance you might like to read a story, sing a song, share a dance, cook some food or show some photos, paintings or things that are important to you. This could be from your home and your own background or from your travels.
We love it if you help to make the week a success. It really is a case of ‘the more, the merrier’. Watch the website in January when we will be asking for your help.
