WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING THIS WEEK:
We read a fantastic book called ‘Fox’ by Margaret Wild which dealt with themes of betrayal. The children then planned and write their own version of the story. We researched in detail how Jewish people showed their commitment to God and shared our findings. We had an amazing time making our chocolates and evaluating them.
WHAT WE'LL BE DOING NEXT:
Our topic next term will be a Geography based unit called ‘Land of Hope and Glory’ in which we will be researching all the countries in the U.K. and their human and physical characteristics. We will have a U.K. day in which we ‘visit’ each of the counties and find out about their physical and human characteristics, as well as eat some of their regional foods.
Please ensure homework is returned on a Wednesday. Homework planners will be used by the children to record their weekly spellings. Your child should also use this planner to record their daily reading, spelling and times table practise.
- Spellings: In homework planners.
- English: Reading
- Mental Maths: TT rock stars
- Maths: No maths this week
- Half term homework – Children to choose a city in the UK and research it. Present your learning in any way you choose.
