WHAT WE'VE BEEN DOING THIS WEEK:
Half term is here. The children have earned a rest after the all the hard work they have done this week. In English we have been planning and writing a descriptive text based on a chapter of our book ‘The miraculous journey of Edward Tulane. In maths we have been working on saying and writing numbers up to the millions and we also looked at rounding numbers up to 100,000. In Science we completed the experiments that we were planning last week.
WHAT WE'LL BE DOING NEXT:
Maths - We will be starting our topic on fractions
Geography - We will be starting our geography work on the Americas
English – Continuing with the Edward Tulane story. Consolidating our understanding of nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs.
We have decided that the children deserve a break and we will not be sending homework or spelling home over half term. However, we suggest that children are consistently reading and using times table rock stars.
PE kits need to be in on Monday and Friday.
DATES FOR YOUR DIARY:
