aPPLYING FOR rECEPTION
Due to COVID-19 we are still unsure if we will be able to provide tours of the school for prospective parents this autumn. We will update this page as and when we have more information. Please refer to the rest of our website to learn more about our school.
Children born between 1st September 2016 and 31st August 2017 they are eligible to start primary school in September 2021. The deadline for applications is TBC January 2021.
Children start school in the September of the school year in which they will become 5 years old, which means most children are 4 years old when they start school.
APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION TO RECEPTION IN SEPTEMBER 2021

School tours for new parents will take place in the Autumn term - dates TBC.
It is important very that you read the Admission to Kingston’s Primary Schools 2021 booklet before you complete the online application form. Applications should be made online through www.eadmissions.org.uk.
In 2021 Alexandra School will be admitting 2 classes of Reception children (60 children total).
All parents of children currently attending Alexandra nursery must submit an application as the children do not automatically transfer to our Reception classes.
1st September Online applications are open via www.eadmissions.org.uk.
TBC January Closing date for all applications
TBC April Online applications will be sent an email during the evening informing them of the result of their application. Letters are posted first class for paper applications.
TBC April Date by which parents must ACCEPT or DECLINE the offer.
TBC May Further offers made from this date subject to places available.
Accepting a Reception place
On the evening of TBC April 2021, you will be sent an email advising you of the result of your application. After you receive this email, you will be able to log on and view your application result online, and accept or decline your offer of a school place online.
If you have applied online and you have not been offered your first preference school you will also receive a letter with detailed information about the result of your application and what to do next.
Applications received after the closing date will only be considered after all applications received by the closing date.
Applying for a Reception place

All applications for a school place must be made via your home council. If you are a Kingston Borough resident you will need to apply through Kingston Council.
